I Love Aruba Checking in from Aruba

Well, I am not sure my updates will be as exciting as Kent's but I thought I'd let you all know that we made it. We got in on Wednesday night, and our flight was actually twenty minutes early. We only had to wait in line behind one couple at customs, and then our luggage was on the carousel when we came down the stairs - which was perfect, because my youngest daughter (who will be nine in July) had reached her limit of "waiting patiently" for anything at that point.

We stayed at the Marriott Stellaris the first two nights, and it was delightful, as always. We went to Texas de Brazil on Thursday night - we started out at Moby Dick's but they were doing some construction (lots of drilling, etc.) so we decided to go somewhere else.

We moved into the Surf Club yesterday, and have a room with the best view we have ever had. We are looking forward to another fun day at the pool, and then we are headed to Cooks for dinner tonight. YUM!!

More later...

Lora

Hey Lora....any check in is exciting to us.....

Glad you made it safe and sound and that things seem to be running smoothly so far.

Have a wonderful time.....and check in again soon if you can. Let us know how Cooks was.

I Love Aruba Re: Checking in from Aruba

Another quick update...we took the girls snorkeling at Arashi yesterday - BIG thanks to Lizzardo for all of her help! The girls had a blast and saw tons and tons of fish - even in the water where I was standing. We also had fun with the kittens! Tonight we went to Matthew's for dinner and sat at the same table where we sat last summer with Sherry, Murray, and Liz. The food was amazing and the view was breath-taking - we think that has one of the most beautiful views of any restaurant in the world! I am not sure what the plans are for tomorrow yet, but I am sure it will entail outdoor activities associated with water!

I wish you were all here to share.....

I wish we were there too, but thanks to you we ARE sharing. Thanks for checking in - helping me get my Aruba fix. aaaah, Matthew's - you're so right, great food, great view and to top it all off, they make a mean martini... imho.

We went shopping downtown today - it was cloudy, hot and muggy and I had forgotten how bad the traffic can be. Not that I am complaining in any way, shape, or form - I am just observing that it was hot and noisy. We are heading to Amadeus for dinner tonight, so I will let you know how it goes.
