Hi Folks,
My partner and I will be coming to Aruba in January for a week and want to find some reasonably priced restaurants to eat at,or those that might serve "early bird" dinners for less money? Any suggestions? Thanks! ![]() |

Well, if you like fish, "De Zeerovers" in Savaneta is a great place. Not really in the neighborhood of the hotels. But if you are planning to rent a car, this place is truly worth a visit. It is not a fancy place but the food is great.
The Paddock in Oranjestad serves good food for a reasonable price. Also, not that fancy. Still a great place to visit. Another nice place is Tomatoes Chalies. (Palm Beach area), if you like Italian. The environment is not that great. But we like the food. Have a nice time on your vacation.

Thank you Sun Seeker....these look to be local, inexpensive and casual places....just what I am looking for.
My partner prefers more Americanized chain type places, any recommendations in that department? |

Mc Donald’s, Wendy’s and Taco Bell?
I think the most restaurants ask reasonable prices for the food. Mostly the drinks make it expensive. I visit the Island two times a year. 2 weeks every visit. Most of the time we go for the fast food, No Mc of wendy’s, but Subways and the little local kiosk. After scuba we always go to “De Zeerovers”. And while we are there, we order the fresh fish. Really cheap and so great. Every 3 days to we try to visit a place like Marandi, Yemanja, Texas, Iguana or something like that. There are so many great restaurants on this little island. All worth the visit. I think you will find enough great restaurants while you are there. Just compare. We also do, no restaurants, we compare cocktails.. ![]()

If you get the Visit Aruba card, you get discounts on shopping, dining, car rentals and excursions. Check out the website (I think I posted it in your other thread).

Jaybird, interested in finding out where you dined. Did you, by any chance, try the Kitchen? My friends liked it very much, went several times, and found it inexpensive.

We've eaten so many places the last 3 weeks. Peanuts the last 2 nights. Treated the neighbors for all their help Saturday and the bill was $78 with 4 entrees and 4 drinks. Last night Karen and I both had a bowl os soup and a fish entree for $37. Zeerovers has been mentioned before, and while my son was here 4 of us ate for $42. The Early Bird at Rembrandts isn't bad.
Since we start renting the house 4 years ago we've eaten at so many good Restaurants it's hard to name a favorite. Amazing in San Nichlos was 1 but is no longer, No doubt a victim of location. Where is The Kitchen located? We're on our last week and would like to give it a try Before we try to locate the kitchen in the house. Al |

Al... it's behind Deli France.
Certainly get a lot for the money, and the desserts are delicious. Veggies are served family style. Within 4 weeks the menu changed and most meals went up $5, but well worth it. Enjoy! |

Stopped today and checked their menu. Don't know how many times I've driven by and never notice. We'll try it before we leave.

Karen and I tried The Kitchen tonight. Excellent food at a great price. The sides are served family style like they did at Yemanji but for two they gave us the same amount as Yemanji gave us for six. Definetly put this as a bargain.
