It definitely was a service fee, not a conversion from florens to USD.
It was listed as an International Service Transaction Fee. The bank is Santander (formerly Sovereign)

Car Rental Insurance ?
Is there any easy answer to should I get the optional insurance on a car rental in Aruba.
I know in the US, not only will my insurance cover me, but so will many of my credit cars, such as AMEX....

Relativelly speaking, the beach is not nearly as crowded as most other places (late Feb, early March). We were always able to find shade, be it under a palapas or umbrella.

How is the Beach?
When we were there last March, we found much of the beach towards the Westin side of the resort had been washed away due to storms. We also found that the main beach .... in the water, the bottom...
