We own at the Surf Club too. 850 is pretty high especially for New York - we usually pay around $500-$600 from Detroit. I notice a lot of people from New York, New Jersey and others on the east coast...

Don't forget they have a really nice outdoor spa - Spa del Sol. I haven't stayed at Manchebo but went there for breakfast and spa services and it was very quiet and pretty from the beach.
