We did not eat at this restaurant but we did go in and view it. Nicely decorated and the owners were very pleasant, just never had time to go back. Three restaurants side by side, The Dutch Mill, Eleanora's Crazy Grill and Destiny.

We ate their in July. Nice place - Nice people - Locally owned. When we got their they were not busy and we ordered and they started to get alot busier - they kinda just forgot about us. The food was just ok.

Eleanora's was much better all they way around.

Allrighty we all have our favorites i guess... I prefer destiny over Eleonoras... Destiny's prices are reasonable too. Loved their Aruba Ariba, the lady told me that she makes the fruit punch herself. Im guessing shes the owner. Very friendly and personal too still LOVE Aruba...

Smile Re: Aruba Destiny

We have just returned from Aruba. Aruba Destiny was one of our favorite restaurants. They have an add in the local paper featuring their daily special. The day we ate there it was a shrimp/fish paella and was very delicious and was the best price and value of the meals we ate in our 2 week visit. The father, mother and son all visited with us and made us feel right at home--Great family. I was really impressed at how many really nice restaurants there are in Aruba. This one along with El Gaucho's and Madam Jannettes should be on every bodys list.

Right at the MILL property across from the Wyndam, this should be a must stop the bar, outside. It is owned by an Aruban family very cordial and as I said great food.

yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! outstanding food.

i want everyone to know that many of the restaurants offer me as a moderator a lot of freebies. i always refuse them. i can't give honest opinions if i don't pay for my meal. therefore, my opinions are truly on taste not cost.

i had received the menu and posted it several days ago and after drooling over it decided it would be on our list. wise move.

we both had the house salad. it was crisp, large, filled with much variety. one of the few places that with a house salad you actually have a choice of dressings.

murray had keshi yena. outstanding and reasonable. i had pan fried grouper and it was perfect.

a slice of cashew pound cake for dessert and we were stuffed. the meal was under $60 and they don't do the service charge thing so remember to tip.

btw, the decor was lovely. the owner has put her heart into it. i had seen pictures of the place but they didn't do it justice.

i wonder if the rest of our meals this trip will in any way match it?

WOW... I think this is the only restaurant that we went to twice in one week. Food was excellent. Service the best. The owner Erna was very attentive as was our wonderful waitress Gracia. First dinner I had the Paella. Second dinner was a seafood dish in creole sauce. The only downside is that I did'nt go a third time. All my friends from the Playa Linda also enjoyed their evening. It is a must. You will love it. Steve NY

We just returned from our second trip to Aruba and tried Aruba Destiny our first night. It was excellent. The coconut grouper was so good we went back a second time during our trip ( this is something that we never do since there are so many restaurants to try). We also had the seafood soup, steak and shrimp and shrimp coctail. All were excellent. Erna, who is the owner and her husband and son were extremely friendly. Also the girl who served us was very friendly also, I wish I remembered her name. Erna's husband told us that Erna is a fantastic baker and sells her baked goods elsewhere on the island so although we usually pass on dessert we tried the cheesecake which was also excellent. It has to be the best restaurant on the island.

Our family ate here last week. It is extremely good and their prices were reasonable. We will definitely go back on our next trip.

I ordered calamari appetizer and Steak Arubano.
Dh ordered Caesar Salad and Paella (with a free glass of Sangria)
The Sangria was so delicious we ordered a half of a carafe, we should have ordered a full carafe it was that good.
Dd ordered Bon Bini Seafood Soup and Coconut Grouper.
Dessert we split a piece of the fabulous to die for Cashew Cake.

Total for 3 people- $103 + tip

I guess our group was one of the few that found Destiny to be "just average" at best. I was there with my husband and another couple in Sept. Two people at our table got the paella which (I had a taste) all of us thought was very, very bland in flavor compared to paella that we've had at other restaurants. I had an appetizer of the Keshi Yena (just okay - Gasparito's and Tulips both have better Keshi Yena) and the Divi Divi salad (salad was good.) I asked for a glass of Sangria (wanted to see if I liked their version) and it came in what I would call a cordial glass (very tiny.) I did make a comment to our waiter and he did bring me out a regular sized glass when I asked for another glass.

All in all, it was just okay. Not bad, not good....would maybe give it another chance if there weren't so many other places on the island that we like better.

Sorry but I just do not get why people seem to like this place so much.

Went last week after seeing all the incredible reviews on various websites. It has to have been the worst meal we have ever had on Aruba. The Coconut Grouper was so oily my husband could barely eat it. The Keshi Yena was okay at best, as was the Chicken Mignon. Both had something of a frozen-TV-dinner taste to them.

I ordered a single glass of wine...I don't recommend doing this. Apparently it is not done very often, because the wine had obviously been sitting in an open bottle in the fridge for quite some time.

We were the only people there. That should have given us a clue right off the bat....

I was really looking forward to eating here after hearing so many good things, but, like I said, I just do not get it. I would most definitely not eat here again.

Excellent atmosphere, very friendly staff, fantastic local and international food. Recommend the Keshi Yena (chicken stew baked in a hollowed out Gouda) and Cashew Cake for dessert. Located next to the red Dutch Windmill behind the Westin Hotel. Well worth the walk. You can eat outside or inside where it is air conditioned. We eat there every time we come to Aruba and the quality has been consistently great.

Very pleasant surprise! We had never heard a word about this restaurant, aside from seeing it advertised almost too much in the daily paper but figured we'd give it a try. We will definitely go back again. The kesha yena appetizer was very good, as was the coconut grouper and the paella. Very nice decor and the owner was a very nice gentleman who made sure to stop by the table to chit-chat.
