OMG! Sunset Grille was awesome! We went there for the first time this last visit (5/16-5/21/05) since a couple we met on the plane (from Mass) said that it was great. WOW, were they right! I had scallops & the hub had filet mignon (melted in your mouth). It even beat our favorite restaurant, Gasparito's! Hiram was a wonderful waiter, very attentive.
Some FYI's: The sides are HUGE (for more than one person), we had ordered three!! Be sure to specify glass or bottle when ordering wine, otherwise you may get a bottle, which of course I didn't mind since it was my favorite (Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio!)

Outstanding dinners during our stay at the Radisson. We tried several different things, enjoyed the sushi, steaks, swordfish and souffle. Service outstanding, ask for Ruchen or Rolando!

We will be going back again this year even though we are not staying at the Radisson.

In my opinion, Sunset Grill is good not great. Used to be great. Had dinner there inAug/06 and things were not the same. Wine glasses had to be returned 2-3 times, cause they smelled. Some seafood was not super fresh.

Outside is better. Inside is noisy and staff is not very attentive. If I have to ask for a drink refill, it is poor service. Food was good but not great. I would go only for the sunset from the outside terrace. Also very overpriced. Too many very good restaurants on aruba to give this one another chance. Two and out.

We usually sit inside, too hot and muggy to be sitting outside. The service has been excellent every time we were there. We had at least 4 different waiters/waitresses serving our table. They were very attentive the whole time we were there. This is a 5 star restaurant, of course it is pricy. But all their food is fresh and top choice. Worth the $$$$!

what a lovely place! we started our meal by splitting a crab cake and scallops appetizer. scallops were excellent and crab cake was the best you get outside of maryland. i have promised my hosts this evening that we will cook maryland crab cakes for them on our return visit. murray had stuffed shrimp and i had filet. yum! i have to say that carbs are my favorite thing in the world. they show up everywhere on my body. by far the baked potato was the most perfectly done i have ever had. i could live on them. dessert was wonderful. there was enough chocolate in the cake to make anyone smile. the brown ladies were delish.

sorry that i haven't a clue what it cost because it was a treat. thank you very much to our hosts. it was a wonderful evening!

I Love Aruba Re: Sunset Grill

For the second year we spent our anniversary at the Sunset Grill and again the food, service and atmosphere were exquisite. At no time did we need to wait for anything, a water or drink refill, the next course, a clean ashtray, nothing. The quality of the food and the presentation were fabulous, and the special desert with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on the plate made the evening extra special.

Outstanding meal, consistantly good. Service outstanding. Bill for 10 adults $ 1500. That includes service charge and tip.
Worth every penny...
