Dining out on a budget?
Hello everyone,
I was hoping we could share feedback on how to dine on a budget. Does anyone know of restaurants with early bird specials, or set menus where you can have dinner for $20-$25 per person?

several places come to mind without a set menu. the paddock, linda's pancakes, bingo, salt and pepper, pizza bob and many of the better restaurants have main courses under $20. also, many of the restaurants have theme nights. those are usually bargain priced meals to introduce you to their foods.

We thought Peanuts was pretty good. Really varied menu with lots of choices. I don't think there was anything priced higher than $15.00. It's in downtown O'stad and we went there for the first time last year, and loved it. And the beer was about $2.00.

ro, i totally agree. food was tasty and the people were really nice. they do lack in desserts but the rest was well worth the really reasonable prices.

Our favorite place is Smokey Joe's. They have the best ribs and are very affordable. Champions at the Marriott is also reasonable.

Tomato Charlie's is very hard to beat. They're located on the main drag across from the High Rise hotels. I was born and raised just outside NYC, and I LOVE Tomato Charlie's Pizza...the Spinach bread too. Yes, they're not air conditioned, but they do have a decent network of fans. Like most of my experiences with Aruban wait staff, service and attentiveness can leave a bit to be desired, but that's "Island Time" for you. "When In Rome" I guess. -Z-

Tango, across from the hi-risers, next to salt & pepper has " chateaubriand" for two; it comes with choice of potatoes and house veg.. Also a pitcher of sangria white or red. $49.50. Ask for it, it is not listed on the regular menu
