Default Phoenix Construction - March 2008

Here are some pictures of the new construction as of week 11 (3/15/08 - 3/21/08).

Sorry, but I did not feel like poking the tiger to find out 'all the details' about when they think things will be done, etc. They did post a sign while we were there saying they were going to be starting on pool construction so there would be jack-hammers running but (can you believe it?) there was no sign of them.

Tower A (? - right-most) is the most done but has only gotten as far as half the fascade being applied. The left-center (Tower C?) has the insulation on the outside. The next (Tower B? - right-center) and left end/closest to the beach (Tower D?) are just the metal studding. Generally I think they are shooting for completion in November but I'll believe it when I see it.

Someone else asked where the renovations in the tower stood. I believe they were 'resuming' renovations on the 12th floor, going up. They appear to involve new tubs, cabinets, counters and toilets in the bathroom(s). We also got new furniture including sleeper couch. It actually was pretty tastefully done (IMHO) and the couch is actually comfortable to sit and sleep on.

We were there last November and it doesn't look significantly different. Maybe they'll have it done in 2009..................
