Has anyone been at the Phoenix lately who knows if the computers are up and running yet in the new internet stations near the deli?

We were there in mid-March and the computer stations were up and running. All nine. The wireless was not available because (we were told) the provider of the equipment was having financial problems and the Divi was looking for someone new.

Is there a fee for the computer use? I know in Mexico they are free at the resort when you are staying there.

You have to purchase a block of time (10, 30 60 minutes) with an access code. I don't recall how much it was but it is amazing how fast the time goes so just get at least an hour.
Unfortunately when we were there they ran out of the 60 minute cards and all we could buy were 30 minute cards. 2 x 30 costs more than 60, obviously. |

While we were there, we paid for whatever blocks of time they had available, but the connection was VERY slow. It was frustrating to have all that beautiful equipment and a bad connection.

Are there other Internet "Cafes" in the area which might be more efficient and less expensive? I think I read somewhere that the plaza where Salt & Pepper is has one. Also, is the place in the Alhambra Casino shopping center still there? Can anyone supply a ballpark cost of using the Phoenix's computer stations?
Masha danki for info.

We drive to Paseo Mall and go to the internet place there. Fast speed. No connection problems.
The cost at the Phoenix is $10.00 for 30 minutes. I wouldn't mind paying that exhorbitant rate (for the convenience) IF I could get to my email, but it was just slow and frustrating and the front desk wouldn't return the money. |
