Smile Looking to buy at Renaissance

I had the pleasure of staying at the Ren several years ago and have been scouring resale sites ever since for the right unit at a price I can afford. I have two kids and a hubby who whose not too keen on buying a 1 br but I really like the downtown location and the uncrowed island. I stayed at the Marriott up island. Nice place but too many people and getting up at 7am to get a palapa or pool seat with a 'brolly' isn't my idea of a vacation!!!!

I am interested in purchasing week(s) . Would like fixed weeks 1-14, 26 or 40-52. (I sometimes see float weeks advertised, do they really exist?)

Primarily wish end units xx46-xx53 ( I hear they are a bit bigger - maybe hubby won't mind so much then-anyone know dimensions of units?). I also sometimes see studios listed - what's the story on them?

I'll pay closing costs if you'll be gentle on your price. Please pm your ideas, suggestions and offers.

Thank you
Vacation Junky

Hi...I am a happy owner at the Renaissance. There is a remax place in Aruba that has a lot of listings. See: http://www.remax-itrrealty.com/inventoryForSell.asp

Weeks 1 - 14 are high season, week 26 is 4th of July week, it seems that you want prime time weeks so expect to pay more for high season weeks or holiday weeks.

You also want the end units. The maintenance is a bit higher for those units. They are a bit more wider and have an extra closet in the master bedroom. Some of them face directly at the ocean, so they are very private. (More private than the pool view / with the ocean view.)

Good luck!!

Melanie

You should also try www.timeshareonly.com. I got my Renaissance timeshare from there for $3250 ($2500 plus closing costs) for week 37. It is an awesome website and has some of the best timeshare deals around. In fact, we just bought another timeshare in the Bahamas at Harborside in Atlantis for under $10,000 for a float unit in the Gold Season!
