Default timeshare question

When you buy do you purchase a specific unit or are put in a different one each time? Are these contract for a # of weeks or deeded?
Do they have roll away beds?
Thanks

At the Marriott timeshares you buy a season - platimum, gold, etc., not a specific week. You do not get the same unit every year.

Other timeshares you purchase a specific unit.

If you purchase a Marriott timeshare, re:The Ocean club or the Ocean Surf.
You purchase a season and a unit with a specific type of view (OF or OV)

But since your question is in the Renaissance section...
The Renaissance is NOT considered a Marriott timeshare.

Only the management of the resort is done by Marriott
(and is subject to be renewed or given to another company after a certain period of time)

If you buy a specific week in a specific unit at the Renaissance you will keep that unit every time.
But there as been some change a few years ago for the timeshare owners who purchased on
the 2 and the 4th floor they were moved to another floor but with always the same units after that...

At the Renaissance you purchase a right to lease.
The right to lease is however subject to the renewal of the land lease where the resort is build.
So unless the the land lease is not renewed you have an indefinite right to lease.
