Just got 2 prospects at Playa Linda that I'm working with. Will probably spend our last 2 days (after the timeshare ends)...somewhere on Eagle Beach. My husband hates to change places but I'm thrilled to be spending 6 days at the PL at a GREAT rate!!! Looked into The Pearl...which looks nice, also considering Tropicana (at 83.00/nite how can I not)...Plus there are a lot of bartenders at LaCabana I will need to say hello to, so what the heck! (I know they are still there because we have sent friends there and our daughter honeymooned there!)

Hi Elaine...thanks! Good to be coming back. Really excited! Just secured our room at Playa Linda! Hubs wanted to stay in Palm Beach this time and I'm thrilled to have gotten a unit at PL.

Family doing GREAT thanks! That lil cutie in my pic is our newest...we just celebrated her 1st b'day yesterday!! )

We are going the last week in Oct. Got a airfare alert for 399 r/t and with the current airfare prices this was too good to be true. Turns out our orig. day of Oct. 23rd went from 399 to 414 to 420 to 535 before my very eyes...I was sooooooo disappointed. It was the only day in Oct. the fares were below 500. And at that price I wouldn't even consider going. Then low and behold a day later the 31st came up 399 also...so we grabbed it but by the time I clicked on BUY, it went up to 404...STILL A GREAT PRICE! Non stop too! Also never considered a timeshare because we are going Tues-Tues but then this unit came up and the price was worth only staying from Tues-Sun, we are getting someplace else for Sun-Tues (haven't decided yet, probably Eagle Beach, our old stomping grounds).

This will be my 6th visit, staying at Lacabana for 10 days

Leaving on the 21st of June, staying our two weeks. I purchased the tickets as soon as I could! The airfare from California was $680.00 RT, that is good leaving from the west coast. We won't get there until the next afternoon. It takes about 17 hours total. But so well worth it! There is just something about getting off of that plane in Aruba!

elisabeth... finding a couple nights shouldn't be too hard, and if the fare worked, I'd have done the same thing!

Even though I paid more this time than I have in a lot of years, I placate myself by breaking the fare into "per week," and divide by four! lol

Yep Elaine...I was....this time it is congestion in the ear and nose that is just pesky. Nothing serious...thank goodness. Thought the worst (of course) like a carodid artery...lol. My doc said " your carodid is fine" and repeated it again...he just loves me!! I make him laugh... I just didn't want to get on a plane with a bad ear. I got Clairiton D and some Nasonex spray to open it all up. I will be good to go...

Well now that my Winter trip is over I can really start to concentrate on my Aruba countdown. I have been looking for any new restaraunts that might have opened up. If any of you have any suggestions let me know. It's been two years since we have gone and I am sure looking forward to my two weeks. Time to get some new bathing suits

Good evening everybody,

Just joined this forum a little while ago. Been going to Aruba off and on since 1980. (Back then the biggest building on the island was the hospital and the Talk of The Town was everybody's "special occassion" restaurant.)

We had a forced absence of two years (damned colon) but we're now booked for the week October 12-19, 2013. I'm not too early to put this here, am I? I'm just so happy to be going back.
