Default Has anyone received the May letter?

I was just wondering if anyone has received their May letters. I thought they would have been out by now since it is June.

Not yet-but I am not a good one to judge-I only got the March letter after sending emails and finally calling and verifying my address. Never had a problem receiving my maint. bill.
The email I received from the Aruba Grand Timeshare Network said we should receive it in about 1 1/2 weeks-Went out the very end of May.
Still being told opening will be July 20th-Richards words.

Riu announced in an article in Aruba Today newspaper this week that the hotel WILL OPEN on July 20. Since our week begins this year on July 20, I have sent several e-mails asking basically, "what do we do?". We would like to pay this year's maintenance fee and go, but the flights from Charlotte a almost full. ???????

I have not received the official letter, however, a copy was sent to those who belong to the Aruba Grand Timeshare network on June 8 by Jon Kirshner. Jon started and runs this network and is doing a great job of keeping us all informed. If you are an owner and want to join you can contact Jon at jbk224@gmail.com.

I tried to attach the letter but it exceeds the space the forum allows. Basically it says they will open on July 20th and will honor all fixed weeks as of that date. Accelerations will be based on availability and are limited. Fees and notice of acceptance are the same, at least 90 days prior to arrival. We will still receive a 20% discount of room rates for pre and post stays, AI is included.

I'm sure if you contact Jon he can forward a copy to you.

Linda

Yes I have. They will begin to honor fixed weeks starting on Luly 20 2007. No acceleration from December 19 to January 4 and the month of February. The rest is all the same.

Wink Were our timeshare rooms renovated

My friend was just in Aruba May 15th, He was talking to one of the workers who told him all of the workers and family members were housed in our rooms for the past year and a half.I am hoping our rooms are just as nice as the hotel rooms that they just built.I hope we are not going to be the red-headed step children of the Riu. My other concern is the amount of huts they have, seeing the size of this place we are going to need at least 30 more huts or else we will be like the people in the Westin getting up at 5 am to reserve a hut.

Unfortunately, everything we've heard is that they are NOT going to be updating the timeshare rooms.

We found it "interesting" that the letter did not say anything about what happens with your week if you have made other plans since the resort was not to open this early. Do we loose the week? Any one else hear how this will be handled?
