Default where oh where can it be??

arubanewbie brought up an item today that they couldn't find when needed. it was a simple item--antibiotic ointment--but they had to do without it because they didn't know where to find it.

it brought up a great idea though. we need a thread (and here it is) where people can ask 'where can i find it' and 'what will they not have on the island'.

so, i will start this sticky thread (yeah, another sticky thread) with the answer.

most medical items are only available at pharmacies.

how about adding to this list. ask a question or tell us something you finally found after a long search.

The small drug store in LaCabana does carry Neosporin!

I basically run to the pharmacy near Alahambra if I need anything or have forgotten something. A few years ago I got a bad cut on the bottom of my foot.... was walking and stepped on a broken shell. I got New Skin, (think that's what it's called) and it stayed on forever and ever!! I always take bandaids and most everything else, but a bandaid wouldn't stay on.

We were stunned to find out that even the large grocery stores do not carry over-the-counter items like aspirin!

When those hungry cudas had managed to eat all my lures, I managed to find a couple good ones at a tackle shop at the bottom of the hill by the WEB plant, I believe it's called Blue Water Tackle or something like that. It may seem irrelevant to most of you, but if anyone else knows where to find some tackle I'd love to hear about it!

The old standby, ZINC OXIDE OINTMENT, was found in the pharmacy just past Linda's Pancake house.

I found a great brand of cough syrup at the Botica pharmacy on the road in front of the hospital. It's called Bisolvn & is not available in the US. It worked much better than Robitussin. That pharmacy is open until 8PM & is open most Sundays. Pharmacists are very helpful, just ask them.
