I'm not an owner, but my father is/was owner of LaQuinta and LaCabana.
Due the divorce with my mother he sold LaCabana. In 2002 I was at Aruba and stayed in the last week of June at LaCabana, the first week of July at LaQuinta and the second week of July in LaCabana again. In July 2002 it was very busy at LaCabana, for me too busy. At LaQuinta it was quiet and a nice approach of the personel and other quests. That's the reason why I go back to Aruba and rent via Interval 2 weeks at LaQuinta. As well because of the pool directly behind your room at the lower part. I travel as well with a 8 month old baby, and that was as well a reason choosing LaQuinta. Reservations, her name is Ingrid, helped me so I can stay in the same room for both weeks. ![]() Unfortunately Econocar couldn't help me with the car, otherwise everything was complete. Now, I have rent a car via American Cars Rental. |

Last year we'd had a very good time in Aruba and in La Quinta room 112.
Our daughter enjoyed the pool and was always laughing. This year we want to go back, but KLM skipped all flights to Aruba. Alternatives are ArkeFly or MartinAir. So, the only choice is MartinAir. And we want to have room 112 again!!! ![]() Some pics from last year: ![]() ![]() |

The airfare is good as well, although I will fly via Curacao with KLM and DAE. |

Thank you!! But, I had some luck today with Interval, and I have reserved an extra week.
![]() It was quiet difficult, because I had to check the website almost every hour. |

Yesterday, we've booked the tickets and we will fly with KLM via Curacao en from Caracao to Aruba with DAE.
I've made a reservation by Econo as well for renting a car for three weeks. I can't wait until the 16th of August!!!! I have an another strange question, for an American it's normal, but it isn't in the Netherlands. When you go shopping your goods will be packed for you by the counter. Do you always give a tip? If so, how much? |

not a strange question at all. as an american i didn't know the answer either until i asked. in aruba, it is customary to tip the person who bags your groceries. a dollar or two is more than enough unless you are getting many bags. it seems the baggers work for little or no money except tips.

Ok, thank you.
I thought that it was normal in America. But, do you give a tip when they bring the groceries to your car? Or as well at the counter? |

in the area of the states that i live, you only tip if they bring the bags to the car. all baggers are paid and usually they are cashiers who are helping other cashiers. cashiers are paid a decent salary.
i have never had someone bring bags to our car in aruba. usually i take the cart to the car and pack the car myself as i do in the states. btw, we should meet while in aruba. we are there for a few overlapping days. |

If one of the young boys asks if I need help to the car (at least that's what I think he's asking... lol) when I go for my first biggggggg order, I take him up on the offer and give him a couple dollars for his help. I would do the same at home.
