Default Natural Bridge

OMG I just heard the most horrible news...the natural bridge collapsed this morning around 4:00 AM. The bridge is no more. This has been confirmed by several Arubians already this morning. They are trying to get us pictures!

Update:

There are hundreds of people right now looking at what happened. People are looking without saying words. There is a traffic jam on the road.

Basically, it is Mother Nature working... with erosion etc. Some say that they felt an "earthquake" at around 4:00 a.m., and that is what may caused it. But there is no proof of any earthquake happening today in this area. Maybe when this huge piece of bridge came down, it might have shook this whole area of the island.

Some heavy equipment are en route.. but what can they do? What can we do? Nothing. Aruba has 7 Natural Bridges, so now we are left with only 6 lesser-known and difficult-to-get-to bridges.

Every press member is down there, including American Press. Watch the newswire for any info....

The "other" BB. Carla from the Jolly Pirates and a guy named Nilton who wife is at the site as we speak! Obviously they are on the island and heard it on the news. As I said they are trying to get pics.

P.S. I'm not Liz I'm Elisabeth (aka Elisa) (sorry but i've had to explain that my whole life and there is no Z in my name)

nick, your sense of humor is going to get you in real trouble. plus, if the natural bridge has collapsed, this thread is no longer one that wants humor.

unbelievable - my server at work won't let me go to this site, saying it's 'erotica/humor'. Nothing funny or erotic about the bridge collapsing...

Grrrrrrrrr (Seething). I am so mad at my husband right now. HE didn't want to go...HE wanted to hang on the beach, HE had already seen it, 20 years ago. Oh my DD Steph is gonna be so upset. I'm glad no one was hurt tho. I feel bad, but I feel so much worse about New Orleans and the Gulf coast people!

Yep my mother just called. So sad Sandra. When teen ager I used to walk bare foot on it.
I heard that per day they got about 3000 visitors.

I'm glad I got to see it one time and walk across it. I have one bad picture of Lar and I standing on it, hair blowing every which way. That pic is a keeper.

I'm glad no one was hurt.

I'm so sad. Our horseback riding trip was scheduled for the Bridge when we go the week of the 24th I'd never seen it.
