Default Marandi's - New Location & Menu

On Oct. 1st Marandi's moved to Laguna Pier. If your driving and not familiar with the area, it is hard to find. There is no sign that I saw on the main road. Eventually there are signs, but they are small and hard to see if it is dark.

I dined here Monday night. I like this location much better. It's right at the water. Since most of the dining area is not covered, I don't know what they are going to do if it does rain.

Excellent pics/video Liz, thanks! I copied this post into the existing Marandi thread in the restaurant section as well. I wasn't able to open the menu though, is anyone else having probs? Might just be my adobe

I think I heard some of my cuda and snook friends snapping in the water just off the pier there - they miss me

I Love Aruba Re: Marandi's - New Location & Menu

Thanks, Liz for the terrific preview of Marandi's new restaurant. I'm so glad the menu has two No Meat, No Fish choices. They sound wonderful!

I guess if it rains, you run for cover just like if you're in the garden at Madame Jannette's or any other outdoor restaurant.

Hi Liz - great information. One question - how bad are those steps for older people to get in and out of the restaurant? Thanks in advance for your response.

Menu opened just fine for me. Agree with Sherry about the menu prices though. For the same type of waterfront dining we can have a less expensive fresh seafood dinner at Marina Pirata.

Kevin just a guess... are you using the most recent version of Adobe reader "Adobe Reader 8.1" ?http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

If you already have Adobe Reader installed on your computer, also try opening Adobe Reader, clicking on "help" and then selecting "check for updates". I just did that and downloaded 8.1 to upgrade from 8.0 that I had been using. Either way, it is opening fine for me with the link that Liz posted originally.

I don't know what version Kevin has but I have 7.09 and it should work or it shouldn't be on their website.

There is a sign where to turn right about a mile maybe past the airport. It is just before you get to a clearing that has a bunch of trucks and stacked up building materials which are on the left. Right before that is when you make your right. The signs are maybe two foot long rectangular signs close to the ground. White background with green and blue lettering. They're easy to miss in the dark. We scouted out the location first in the daytime. Catch of the day was good - we thought it was too expensive. We too, like Marina Pirata.

I had no trouble opening the pics and menu. Thank you, Liz. Everything sounded so good on the menu. I didn't think that the prices were that bad considering it's Aruba. I think we'll try it the next time we go.

OK the good news is that I managed to download the newer version (thanks Arubalisa) and am able to view the menu. The bad news - those prices?! I haven't been to Aruba for a couple of years, and apparently I've lost touch. Hopefully it's worth the price!
