Default Is sushi available in Aruba?

Reading through the board, I see that Aruba offers all sorts of different exotic food that you don't see every day in the states. However, I am a big fan of sushi and was wondering if there are any restaurants in the area that cater to that particular taste?

Regardless, any seafood suggestions are welcome as well

There's a sushi restaurant at the Seaport Mall right next to Villa Germania. Because I don't eat sushi.... not sure how good it is. I think Blossoms also has a sushi bar.
As for seafood........ most of the restaurants have seafood. If you're a fish eater, Aruba is THE place for fish. A nice place to go for seafood with lots of ambiance is Marina Pirata... as well as Pinchot's and Mirandi's. I like eating outside... it's the whole island thing for me... Enjoy!

Try Blossoms at the Whyndham. The place is outrageous and a true delight in eevery way. Interiors are great with stunnig water features etc.

The sushi there is immaculate. If you are a sushi fan, you know how important that is. They serve it exactly correctly with all trimmings etc. There are some places that make you feel you are eating raw fish at coney island. Not Blossoms or (as a matter of fact) any of the places mentioned above this posting.

Enjoy

Thank you Charles for the input... yes I know how important the quality of the sushi being served is... there is nothing worse than walking into a place and finding every cut of fish the constistency of octopus, rubbery and difficult to chew... revolting.

I saw your post on my other thread, and thanks again for the input. This board and its members have helped me exponentially given my original perceptions, I hope to give something back and share my experiences with you all while I am there.

greetings fm aruba - nhbb,

i am a fellow sushi - fanatic.

the sushi restaurant mentioned a few times above is called Sushi Ya. It is located at the Seaport Marina.

While eating there you can watch the fishermen from the marina carrying the fresh fish to this small , owner - operated restaurant. (Just beside Sbarro) It doesn't get any fresher than this.... imo

Tables avail both indoors and out.

Sushi is all they do! imo Sushi Ya has the most creative menu and talented sushi chefs. I've been to them all.

I wldnt hesitate to recommend this Sushi as the best in Aruba.

Be aware that the word "sushi" also means "trash." You will see signs saying "no tira sushi"

thanks for the input, if I go into a place and all I see is garbage on the menu I will take warning. does that mean the maki rolls are served wrapped in trash bags?

Default Re: Sushi

We have tried the Sushi place in the Marriot it wasn't bad at all, but if you are ever in Boston you want to go to Ginza in Chinatown or Brookline!!!! The best!!!!
