Hi
I have a question for owners of homes on the island. The Web and Elmar bills we received for the past October were extremely high, even though our home was not used for that entire month. In conversation with a couple of other owners, they also said their bills were very high. The bills are now back to normal and are in fact lower even with the house occupied. We have checked for water leaks etc and have none (meters not running etc.) I am wondering if Elmar/Web may have had a billing problem and we are all paying for a possible mistake. Love to hear from others on this Aquaman

Sometimes they 'estimate' the water usage and then later actually
read your meter and adjust the bill in another month. If look at the top of the water bill there is a usage for each month. On our bill - Nov showed 104 cubic meters for 29 days and Oct was 77 for 33 day.... There is really no way to tell if they are estimating or actually reading the meter. But we can tell you they don't do it every month. As for the electric bill there is a charge called 'aanpassing deposito' which varies wildly. We have had several people try to explain it to us but it really is a weird calculation that we still can't fathom! |
