Default Tam Beach

My husband and I will be leaving for Aruba in about 10 days, staying at the Tam again. Has anyone been there recently? We are wondering what the condition of the beach is between the 1100 and 1300 block is.

Thanks

Jaydee

We did not stay there but we walked along there in November. I dont know what the room#s are but the beach looked to be in excellent shape overall.

Thanks, that's what we wanted to hear. Sometimes due to storms etc. we have been there when alot of erosion had taken place. Can hardly wait to get there, here in the NE-the weather has been cold and snowy.

We walked the beach there last week.....
I'm not sure where the block is that you're referring to, but if it's the portion of the beach furthest away from the Divi it's in very poor shape. Erosion has knocked down some of the palapas (cement and all) and they're left laying there. There was a lot of seaweed and a pungent smell that wasn't pleasant. Funniest thing, we're walking along the boardwalk and see a clothesline strung up between 3 units on the bottom floor....with NASTY UNDERWEAR hanging from it with a couple of other undergarments. I thought "are you freakin' kidding me?!?!" Totally turned me off of staying at the Tam.

Thank you for replying. The blocks we stay in are closest to the Divi.
Wow! In 10 years of going to the Tam, we have NEVER seen clotheslines anywhere or any "junk" . We have found the beach to be big and beautiful but have gone there when the weather played havoc and left it inpoor shape, hence our inquiry of it this year. I sure hope we don't see any of that! Thanks again.

Did a walk about Thanksgiving week. No serious erosion issues then.
Have not given too much attention to Aruba's weather since then so I guess there must have been some hearty storm activity between then and last week.

Some photos from the walk about follow. Click on the thumbnail to view a larger image.
