Default Help from the regulars: Need a new place to stay

My husband and I have been to Aruba 10 times. We've always stayed at the Wyndham/now Westin. It was perfect for us and became our home away from home. We've always stayed in a suite there and had everything we needed. Now, with the Westin, the suite prices are cost-prohibitive.

It's time to expand our paradigms and find a new home-away from home.
Things that are important to us are: great service, a large balcony with an ocean view, ability to have a refrigerator, and a suite or lots of space in the room.

We would appreciate any recommendations.

Hi Zelly,

Why don't you take a look at The Boardwalk Vacation Retreat across from the Marriott Resort Aruba Hotel - Boardwalk Vacation Retreat Aruba Large spacious suites with complete kitchens and large patios or balconies and there's one (#21) that has a pretty nice view of the ocean. Very good reviews on Tripadvisor too...

Good luck with your search!

Why not try the low rise area for a change. We get a weekly posting from a wonderful person named Kandy----she emails us apartments for rent and for sale at Casa del Mar and Aruba Beach Club-----right on the water. Seems like you would want Casa del Mar. The suites are larger. I recommend it highly.

Thumbs up Re: Help from the regulars: Need a new place to stay

your best bet is to try timeshares in the low rise areas. They have better beaches and great accommodations and are much friendlier than the high raise timeshares. For two people i would recommend the aruba beach club (studios to 2 bedroom units) or casa del mar which have the 2 bedroom units. Both of these resorts are right on the beach.

I have units at La Quinta and PBV. Both resorts are very cost efficient and have refrigerators and living rooms in the units. I have one and two bedroom units at La Quinta and a one bedroom unit at PBV. Email me at kmdionne@comcast.net with questions and offers.
