One Happy Island Shopping in Aruba

Would someone be so kind as to tell me about the shopping in Aruba?

Arlene the attorney in Aruba (who is on TV talking about the Holloway case)
had on a gorgeous amber bead necklace.

Thats what I would be looking for, any suggestions of where to buy one like it?

Cool Re: Shopping in Aruba

BB.... there are many great jewelers on the island, and each of us seem to have our favorite. Among them Sean Paul's, Kay's (not the one at home) Kenro, Little Switzerland, Gandleman....Shiva's If you're looking for a specific piece, shop it around at home... then you'll be more able to compare. I'm not sure that other than the tax, the deals are any better, but I've found some very different pieces in Aruba that I've never seen anywhere else and I bought them simply for that reason.

I agree the shops that Elaine mentioned. I don't recall ever seeing amber necklaces but you can ask! Check out the Renaissance Mall, under the Renaissance Hotel for some unusual stores too!

Red face Re: Shopping in Aruba

I highly recommend Gold Palace....they are a few streets back from the back end of the Ren. mall on the right. I think when you come out of the mall you will see a jewelry store on a corner (you will cross over a street to get to that store), go the the right of it and down the next street to the right, they are on your left. They always negotiate price and have a great selection. If you want something done to it, they can do it in their store and even deliver it to you. We continue to go back every time we are there to add to my Aruba collection!

I second the vote for Gold Palace. They also opened another location near the cruise ships. I make a purchase there every time I'm in Aruba. Last year they had some gorgeous blue diamond rings. But I ended up getting an opal ring, earrings and bracelet.
